Custom Crash Cage for the 2025 Honda CBR650R E-Clutch – Designed and Built in Riga
We’re excited to share the results of our latest project — a custom crash protection cage developed for the brand-new 2025 Honda CBR650R equipped with Honda’s innovative E-Clutch system. This motorcycle has just hit the streets of Riga, and we were among the first to design protective parts specifically for this updated model.
What's New on the 2025 Honda CBR650R E-Clutch?
The 2025 CBR650R introduces significant changes, especially for the European version, which comes equipped with Honda’s new electronic clutch (E-Clutch). This advanced system eliminates the need for a clutch lever while allowing seamless gear shifts, making riding more accessible and smoother — especially in urban conditions.
However, this new feature also introduced a challenge: the E-Clutch mechanism is large and positioned on the right side of the engine, requiring us to rethink how a crash cage could be securely and safely mounted without interfering with the bike’s new layout.
Designed from Scratch for the 2025 Model
The CBR650R underwent fairing design updates in 2024, which means that previous crash cages designed for 2019–2023 models no longer fit. The mounting points we traditionally used were now either repositioned or hidden behind the new fairing design.
To address this, we engineered custom mounting plates that allow us to attach the cage securely without the need to cut or modify the fairing. No drilling or permanent modifications are required.

Custom Color Options
The bike in this project is finished in Honda's classic red, so we matched it with a bright red crash cage that looks both aggressive and factory-fitted. However, we offer a range of color options to match your bike or personal preference. Just let us know your choice when ordering!

This custom cage is now installed on a 2025 CBR650R and being actively used by a motorcycle rental company in Riga, Latvia. It’s already protecting their new bike from drops and helping new riders enjoy the E-Clutch-equipped CBR650R safely.
